CFCLA have acquired a number of former government and private operator mainline locomotives in the last 5 years. These are all in the 1500-2000hp range, and are made up of both EMD and ALCo units.

The older mainline units are suited to regional or metropolitan workings, including port shuttles and infrastructure work trains.

6 former West Coast Railway locomotives, being overhauled during 2005/06 will add to the already flexible lease fleet offered by CFCLA. It is anticipated that some of these will be available on the broad gauge.
